try appreciating the speed of cleanliness in Divisoria: Nite cafe is very dirty on weekend nights but early in the morning, the streets are clean again!!

Cogon market was renovated. What makes it filthy are the garbages. The government is taking its effort in cleaning up the surroundings. But we cannot avoid piles of trash considering that the place is the center of local trade where most raw products are purchased. If you're a very glamorous shopper who prefers to buy not-so-fresh vegetables in a not-so-smelly area, you may not appreciate Cogon market.

And yes, we do have a "sense of order". The volume of things you see don't always mean chaos. Did you know that there are separate lanes for public and private vehicles in the market? RTA vehicles also roam around regularly and set boundaries for vendors in the street. The large quantity of people and vehicles "scrumbled on the street" only attests to the dynamic economic activity of the city.

The city can afford more than the metro aides. Due to the bigger workload ahead, garbage trucks are prepared instead. They collect garbage daily but they do it mostly on the night to gather all trashes in a day. So it can't be expected that the area is clean all day long. The garbage trucks don't collect every hour!!

There's a lot more to the city than just Cogon market!! If you're sick and tired of all the garbage, then go somewhere. Tour the malls, beaches, eco-villages, weekend Nite cafe, rafting, floating restaurant, stroll the parks, have a food trip and more!!
