Yeah right, walking around the city without worrying being hit by a car? I wonder when would be that time. It seems that our city officials didn't care about that much. They are more concern with the upcoming election. Bummer! With our current situation, I doubt there'll be changes by next year or another year after. Whew!

Towing car indeed is good initiative by the RTA versus hard headed driver. And of course this is one way to discipline and to lessen traffic especially to those (driver) who park their car in restricted area. In case of emergency “car accident” towing of car in the middle of such would help fasten remove the barred cars.

But, despite of the reputation, some RTA personnel are very abusive in their temporal power . In fact, we are one of the victims of the towing car incident at CDO, when our passenger jeep was stranded at Carmen road. The RTA towed our passenger jeep from Carmen to Kauswagan where RTA main office situates.

We were disappointed when we requested to release our jeepney the following day only to found out that some of the tools and crude oil (gasoline) were lost and empty. My mother filed a complain and even talked to a high-ranking official who was present that day. And (RTA officials) they gave some money (but not sufficient to cope with the stolen tools and gasoline) to refund.

Many operators in CDO were angry at RTA (some) because of their cruel activities….

Hope that the local government can and will read this mere experience/s of the victims.

Well, it would be refreshing if we could really, REALLY walk on that street without worrying over jeepneys and cars honking at you. I really hate that!!!!

The only downside to this is that it'll create more traffic on the other blocks... but we don't have to deal with it any longer once the new bridges (there are 2 constructing bridges, right??) will open, right?? Still, let's keep our fingers crossed over the implementation of the "no-vehicle" entry, shall we?
