Aling Viloy’s ” “HUMBAH”? been there always when i was in college... every time we had our overnighters at friend's house for a group study or just hanging out till the wee hours in the city, Aling Viloy's Humba is our favorite "foodtrip" hangout... I am missing that taste now... maybe I should contact my fellas to go back partake that tasty humba again.
Wala nako nakabalik after the renovation of the Cogon Market... Di ko na nga alam where in Cogon that Aling Viloy's Eatery is. Can someone point me where?

---------------

Really, Cogon Market is worth of notice lately. It's expansive, cleaner -- if only for the public restrooms, and got lifts - elevator and escalator to take you upstairs for some cheaper goods. Yes, prices -- of the same merchandise -- can vary from floor to floor! Going up can actually mean getting low. And Rob, a friend told me your Viloy's located right there smack in the center of that mall-like massive Cogon Market of our times. Else, you have to follow the hungry throng, because it really is binabalik-balikan. -- bong, cdokay-bm

And who would forget the place that serves free refill of buko juice.... Only here.... and i'm proud to be here... the place where ironically "Patag" is the more mountainous place and "Puntod" is the flat one... and every cowboy nga laagan's routine, sometimes called the "Delicacy" of cagayan,... Aling Viloy's " "HUMBAH" .. O.I.C... Only In Cogon.... never been there?.... BE THERE!!

nice thing going here guys.... hope i'll be a part of this.

Thank you Coy, sometimes a comment as cheerful as this comes along and the staff huddles -- some are surpised, some says, indeed its been the way (wa man mo mag-ingon!!!) . What business sense must be going in the minds of our local buko magnates? Or marketing ploy. Be warned: Of course, a gang of 10 is not to overdo things -- remember Manong is a licensed sharpest bolo carrier.

Only in CDO? Or this is one of what remains of our golden friendship bearing. CDOkay ka Manong Buko! CDOkay ka Coy! (we want more of your candid observations!) -- bong, cdokay-bm

I now live here in Houston, Texas but I still miss my hometown, Cagayan de Oro, which will always be the place I want to go home to. It has everything I long for, my relatives and family, friends, the hospitality of the people, the great food, abundance of nature, the small but very useful motorcabs who roam around the city, the world-class shopping centers and so much more. The city has definitely a lot to offer!

Lol. And the seemingly masi jeepney drivers infamous for their mad driving. The list goes on..

CdO has been my adopted home for ten years now. Despite the Bukidnon-blood in me, I also do call myself a Kagay-anon. :)

Nice article, presents the different aspects of being a Kagay-anon

This is by far the best write up I've ever read on the local lifestyle of this wonderful city.
